An investigation is underway into a series of property offences committed at industrial premises in the Portsmith area over the weekend.
A man gained entry to a workshop in Comport Street and stole a quantity of tools. A workshop and compound in Knight Street was also targeted with tools being stolen from a number of work vehicles parked at the complex.
It is believed the man also forced entry to businesses in Fearnley and Buchan Streets and was preparing to steal a large quantity of workshop equipment and a truck before being disturbed and fleeing on foot.
Detectives have released images of a man whom they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries. Anyone who recognises the person depicted in the attached images is urged to contact Crimestoppers and pass the information on.
