Drug charges, Mooroobool: A 26-year-old man from Holloways Beach and a 24-year-old Edmonton man were charged early this morning following a traffic intercept on McCoombe Street.
Police observed the two men sitting in a parked car at around 2.40am and a search of the car was conducted.
Officers allegedly located and seized quantities of Methylamphetamine, MDMA as well as a pipe and a sum of cash.
The older man was charged with two counts of possession of a dangerous drug and one count of possession of a drug utensil. The 24-year-old man was charged with unlawful possession of a knife in public.
Both men are expected to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on November 23.
Man charged with stealing, Woree: A 30-year-old Woree man has been charged following investigations into the alleged theft of fuel from a Bayview Heights residence on November 4.
Police will allege that the man entered the carport area of the Fairview Street home at around 6.15am where he stole a jerry can containing fuel.
The man dropped the jerry can and fled after he was approached by a witness. The man was charged with stealing and is scheduled to appear at the Cairns Magistrates Court on November 20.
Girl charged over vehicle and money theft, Cairns: Police have charged a 14-year-old Smithfield girl following investigations into the theft of a vehicle from a Brinsmead address in October.
It will be alleged that the girl unlawfully used the vehicle which had been stolen during a burglary at a Brian Street residence on October 12.
She was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and was also charged with one count of stealing as a result of an unrelated incident at Smithfield on October 9. The girl will be dealt with under the provisions of The Youth Justice Act 1992.
