Tablelands Police gave to me……

…. four calling birds
Remember, this Christmas your first port of call should be your neighbour if they are creating excessive noise. Ask your neighbour politely to turn the music etc down so that you too can enjoy Christmas.
If all else fails and the noise is still excessive you may make a complaint to police. Contact Policelink on 13 14 44, use the mobile phone app or use the online form.
If police attend your residence or that of a friend in relation to excessive noise and give you a noise abatement direction, then you can’t make any excessive noise for 96 hours.
If police get called back due to a further noise complaint you may have to appear in court and the item omitting the noise may be seized.
Persons riding motorbikes on a place other then a road can be given a noise abatement direction for the duration of 48 hours and if you fail to comply your motorbike may be seized.
