Property charges, Edmonton: Cairns detectives yesterday charged an 18-year-old Atherton man with 10 offences relating to property and traffic offences.

It will be alleged the man burgled homes in Atherton and stole vehicles in May and June.

It’s further alleged the man evaded police and failed to stop in Manunda on May 26.

He was charged with three counts of enter premises and commit, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, one count each of stealing, wilful damage, unlicenced driving, evade police and contravene a direction.

He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court today.

Property charges, Hopevale: Cooktown CIB and Hopevale Police yesterday charged a 10-year-old boy with a total of 19 property offences.

It will be alleged the boy broke into a number of Hopevale properties over a four month period.

He was charged with 16 counts of enter premises and commit an indictable offence and three counts of burglary and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
