Fraud and other charges, Cairns:  Detectives arrested a 42-year-old Portsmith man late last night at a Fearnley Street residence.  He was arrested on a number of warrants, one of which was issued in 1996.  The man had been wanted for questioning in relation to numerous matters and was subsequently charged with a total of 25 offences including multiple counts of fraud, stealing, breaking and entering, and assault.  The offences are alleged to have been committed between 1996 and 2004 in the south-east corner of Queensland.  He is due to appear in the CairnsMagistrates Court this morning.   

Property charges, Edmonton: Investigations are continuing into a spate of property offences committed in the western most area of Bentley Park over recent days.  A group of youths is believed to have been responsible for offences identified in Isabella, Shellbourne, Capricorn and several other local streets in the area.  A number of youths are assisting with inquiries.  Investigators yesterday charged a 13-year-old Bentley Park girl with a total of eight offences including burglary, breaking and entering premises and stealing.  She will be dealt with under the provisions of The Youth Justice Act 1992.  Investigations into the incidents are continuing.
