Police have charged a 16-year-old boy following investigations into the alleged indecent assault of a 15-year-old girl at Woree on Sunday morning.
It is alleged the girl was walking along Rigg Street at around 9.45am when she was approached from behind and indecently assaulted.
The victim fought back against the boy and screamed loudly, at which point the boy fled on foot. The victim was not physically injured as a result of the assault.
A 16-year-old boy from Manoora was arrested and charged with indecent assault.
Investigators are making inquiries into similar offences in the area and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity to contact police.
