Robbery charges, White Rock:  Detectives yesterday charged a 48-year-old Woree man following investigations into the robbery of woman at a White Rock residence on April 8.

Police will allege that the man forced entry to the home of a woman who is known to him at around 9.30am. It will be further alleged that the man was in company with two other males who have been previously charged over the incident.

Cash, a digital camera, mobile phone and cigarettes were allegedly stolen.

The man was charged with robbery in company. He is scheduled to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court today.

Man charged, possession of explosives, Cairns City:  A 45-year-old Kanimbla man has been charged after police located a quantity of fireworks and ammunition in a vehicle at around 12pm yesterday.

Police had executed a search warrant on the vehicle that was parked in Sheridan Street when the items were allegedly uncovered.

He was charged with two counts of failing to possess the authority to possess explosives. He is scheduled to appear at the Cairns Magistrates Court on June 30.
