Four juveniles were arrested yesterday, June 26, after they were seen running from an alleged stolen car.
In the early hours of Monday morning offenders allegedly broke into a Palm Cove resort stealing car keys before leaving in a car that was parked in the carpark.
Around 12pm that same day the vehicle was seen in Edmonton and a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed.
The car continued driving into Cairns where it was abandoned on Lake Street. All four occupants were seen running from the car and were arrested a short time later.
A 14-year-old Manunda girl was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
She was bailed to appear in Cairns Childrens Court at a later date.
A 17-year-old Earlville boy was charged with three counts of stealing and one count each of enter dwelling and commit indictable offence, obstruct police and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 16-year-old Edmonton boy was charged with four counts of attempted enter dwelling, two counts each of enter dwelling and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlicenced driving and fraud.
A 14-year-old Cairns North boy was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and obstruct police.
All three boys were denied police bail and will appear in Cairns Childrens Court at a later date.

Possess dangerous drugs, Manunda
A 42-year-old Manunda woman was charged last night June 26, after she was stopped while allegedly riding her pushbike with no helmet or lights.
Around 11.30pm police were conducting patrols when they saw the rider.
The rider was stopped and spoken to by police.
A small clip-seal bag was located in the woman’s handbag containing what police will allege to be methylamphetamine.
She was charged with one count of possess dangerous drugs and issued with a notice to appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on July 10.
