
Three juvenile girls have been arrested on the corner of Florence and Lake Streets in the early hours of this morning.
It will be alleged the two 14-year-old and one 12-year-old girl allegedly stole confectionary from a Sheridan St service station shortly before being arrested.
It will be further alleged that one of the 14-year-old girls was part of a group who assaulted a 13-year-old girl on a bus travelling on Sheridan St on July 14
A 14-year-old and 12-year-old girl have been charged been charged with one count each of enter premises.
The second 14-year-old girl has been charged with two counts of stealing and one count each of assault and enter premises.
All three girls are due to appear before Cairns Childrens Court August 9.

Unlawful use of motor vehicle – White Rock
A 31-year-old Holloways Beach man was arrested yesterday at an Ishmael Road address.
It will be alleged that the man had been driving a stolen vehicle when involved in a fuel drive-off at a North Cairns service station on July 31.
The man has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle and stealing.
He is due to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court on August 21.

Multiple charges – Cairns area
A 15-year-old Woree boy was arrested and charged yesterday after a lengthy investigation by detectives.
It will be alleged that the boy had been involved in several offences across Cairns suburbs dating back to October 2022.
The boy has been charged with one count each of assault, stealing, unlawful use of motor vehicle, enter premises and possess child exploitation material.
The boy will be dealt with under the Youth Justice act.

Appeal for witness – Armed Robbery, Manunda
Police are appealing for assistance from the public after three teenagers were the victims of a robbery where a knife was produced in Manunda yesterday, August 7.
Initial investigations indicate that between 8 and 8.30am, the three boys were near the corner of Eureka and Hoare Streets when they were approached by four boys on bikes.
The victims were threatened with a knife before the group took various personal items from them and left the area.
All four offenders have been described as first nations males on various size bikes.
The first was described as wearing a maroon hoodie, black shorts, black cap and white shoes.
The second a black hoodie, dark coloured pants and thongs.
The third a grey long sleeve shirt, grey shorts, black shoulder bag and thongs.
And the fourth a grey hoodie, blue shorts and white shoes.
Witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision is urged to immediately contact police.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
