Drugs charges, Edge Hill

Police have charged two people after a quantity of drugs and drug utensils was allegedly located at an Edge Hill property yesterday, August 15.

It will be alleged while executing a search warrant at a Jensen Street address, detectives from Cairns Criminal Investigation Branch located several different dangerous drugs, including cocaine and steroids.

A 30-year-old Edge Hill man and a 21-year-old Manunda woman were taken into custody.

It will be further alleged that the pair were involved in supplying the dangerous drugs located.

The 30-year-old man was charged with one count each of supplying dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, contravening order, possess anything used in commission of crime.

The 21-year-old woman was charged with two counts of possess dangerous drugs and one of possess utensils.

Both are due to appear at Cairns Magistrates Court on August 29.

Drugs charges, Whitfield

Police have charged three people with multiple drug offences following the execution of a search warrant in Whitfield yesterday.

It will be alleged detectives from Cairns Criminal Investigation Branch located a variety of dangerous drugs, including ketamine and MDMA, during a search at a Jensen Street property.

Three people were taken into custody.

A 23-year-old Whitfield man has been charged with three counts of possess dangerous drugs and two of possess utensils and is due to appear at Cairns Magistrates Court on September 28.

A 30-year-old Whitfield woman has been charged with three counts of possess dangerous drugs and one of possess utensils and is due to appear at Cairns Magistrates Court on August 31.

A 20-year-old Redlynch man has been charged with one count of possess dangerous drugs and is due to appear at Cairns Magistrates Court on September 5.

Break in charges, Earlville

Police have charged a 17-year-old Manoora boy following multiple alleged break ins across Cairns recently.

The boy was arrested by police yesterday, August 15, after being located at an Ishmael Road address.

It will be alleged that over the last month, the boy had been involved in multiple offences across several Cairns suburbs.

The boy has been charged with four counts of enter dwelling, three of attempted entry, two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, and one count each of possess dangerous drugs and fail to take reasonable care.

He is due to appear at Cairns Childrens Court today, August 16.

Stolen car charges, Cairns

Police have charged a 13-year-old Edmonton girl following an alleged stolen car incident in Cairns recently.

It will be alleged early morning on August 13, the girl broke in to a Veivers Road property at Palm Cove and stole a car.

It will be further alleged the girl was later involved in a fuel drive-off and disturbance in Woree and Cairns City.

Following extensive investigations, the girl was taken into police custody last night at a Lake Street address.

She has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle, stealing, and serious assault police, and is due to appear at Cairns Childrens Court today, August 16.
