
Public nuisance and wilful damage charges | Mooroobool
Police have charged a 32-year-old man after it is alleged a police vehicle was damaged at Mooroobool yesterday, September 28.
It is alleged around 7pm, witnesses saw the man enter the car park of a unit complex on Swallow Street behaving erratically.
Police attended and spoke with the man, who it is alleged made threats and acted aggressively, before being arrested.
After a short struggle the 32-year-old was placed into a police vehicle where it is alleged he repeatedly kicked the inside of the vehicle causing a window to smash.
The 32-year-old man from Redlynch was charged with one count each of public nuisance, obstructing police and wilful damage of police property.
He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on October 13.

Going armed to cause fear charges | Gordonvale
Police have charged a 36-year-old man following after an alleged disturbance at a licensed premises at Gordonvale overnight, September 28.
Just after 10pm, police were called to a Gordon Street business after it is alleged a man was threatening other patrons with a broken glass.
Police attended and located the man nearby.
The 36-year-old man from Gordonvale was charged with one count each of going armed as to cause fear and creating a disturbance in a licenced premises.
He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on October 2.
