Property crime charges, Greater Cairns
Officers from the Cairns Property Crime Squad have charged a 16-year-old Mount Sheridan girl on Saturday with one count each of enter with intent, stealing and wilful damage.
It is alleged the girl entered a store on the Esplanade in May, stole cash and other property, before damaging a wall and leaving the store. She is being dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
A 45-year-old Manoora woman was charged on Saturday with two counts each of enter dwelling with intent and break, and one count each of enter with intent and trespass.
Police allege she trespassed onto a property in Redlynch on Friday night and broke into three homes in Manoora on Saturday morning.
She is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on November 17.
Drug charges, Westcourt
Officers from the Property Crime Squad executed a search warrant at a Westcourt property on Friday afternoon, October 27, and allegedly seized a quantity of methylamphetamines, cannabis, drug utensils, other drug paraphernalia, scales, mobile phones, ammunition, and pharmaceutical medication.
A 47-year-old Westcourt woman was charged with one count each of possess dangerous drugs and possess utensils.
She is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on November 13.
