
Break and enter, North Cairns
An 18-year-old Parramatta Park man has been charged in relation to an incident at a Greenslopes Street unit complex on Tuesday afternoon, September 24.
It will be alleged the man entered a unit at 2.30pm and stole the keys to a vehicle before proceeding to an underground carpark and taking the vehicle.
The man was unable to open the roller door leading out of the carpark and the vehicle was abandoned at the door.
It will be further alleged the man had been involved in several other offences including the break and enter of two Machans Beach homes on September 18.
He has been charged with three counts of enter dwelling, two of unlawful use of motor vehicle, and one count each of unlawful possession of suspected stolen property, trespass, and obstruct police.
He has been refused bail and will appear before Cairns Magistrates Court today, September 26.

Break and enter, Cairns City
A 12-year-old Edmonton boy has been charged following an incident at a Grafton Street café on September 25.
It will be alleged the boy was part of a group who used a hammer to smash the shop front of the café at around 4am before entering and stealing a cash register and tip jar.
The boy has been charged with one count of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break.
He has been dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justice act.

Arson, Woree
A 17-year-old Brinsmead boy has been charged following an incident at a Woree address on September 24.
It will be alleged the boy had deliberately set fire to a bed in a unit late on Tuesday evening causing damage to the unit.
He has been charged with one count of arson.
He is due to appear before Cairns Childrens Court October 2.

Multiple offences, Northern Beaches
Officers from Smithfield Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 17-year-old and a 14-year-old boy after locating them yesterday afternoon, September 25.
It will be alleged the boys had been involved in several break an enter type offences across Clifton Beach, Kewarra Beach and Palm Cove over the last 3 weeks.
The boys have been charged with a total of eight charges of enter dwelling and four of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Both boys are due to appear before Cairns Childrens Court October 2.
