Multiple charges, Cairns

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested after being located at a Murray Street address yesterday morning, October 2.

It will be alleged the boy was part of a group who damaged glass doors and entered a Loridan Drive grocery store in the early hours of Tuesday, October 1.

It will be further alleged that the group were in a Mazda 3 which was one of three vehicles stolen from a Trinity Beach address on September 28.

The boy will also be alleged to have been involved in the theft of a Rav 4 from a Henley Street, Earlville address on September 26.

He has been charged with three counts of enter premises, two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, and one count each of receiving tainted property, attempted enter premises, and unlicensed driving.

He has been refused bail and will appear Cairns Childrens Court today, October 3.

Vehicle charges, Redlynch

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after being located on Thomson Street, Earlville yesterday afternoon, October 2.

It will be alleged the boy had been involved in the theft of a Skoda Kodiaq from a Buckinghamia Close, Redlynch address in the early hours of Wednesday morning, October 2.

It will be further alleged the boy had been involved in the theft of a Hyundai Kona from a Roberts Drive, Trinity Beach address on September 28.

The boy will also be alleged to have been in possession of a quantity of methylamphetamine and suspected stolen property when arrested.

He has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, two counts of possession of suspected stolen property and one count each of attempted enter dwelling and possess dangerous drugs.

He has been refused bail and will appear before Cairns Childrens Court today, October 3.

Appeal for witnesses, Bentley Park

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident that occurred in Jumna Close, Bentley Park yesterday morning, October 2.

At around 6.30am residents noticed a group of up to 10 persons with covered faces allegedly breaking into a home in the close.

The group were alleged to have been travelling in a grey Skoda and a black Suzuki.

During the confrontation several items including a knife, bottles, and a baseball bat were thrown at the residents of the close.

Two of the residents vehicles were also damaged with windscreens being broken and tyres being slashed.
