Stolen vehicle, Woree
Five people have been arrested after an allegedly stolen vehicle was subject to a successful deployment of a tyre deflation device on Des Chalmers Drive at 10.30am yesterday morning, October 9.
The Nissan Navara was located a short time later at Sandown Close, Woree with officers cordoning off the area.
Police Dog Gator and his handler conducted a track in the area and the last of the five were in custody at 11.50am.
A 19-year-old man, an 18-year-old man, a 17-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy, and a 15-year-old boy have been charged with a total of 17 charges.
Amongst these charges are eight counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, and four of enter dwelling.
The 19-year-old man and the 15-year-old boy were both refused bail and will appear before Cairns Magistrates and Cairns Childrens Courts today, October 10.
The remaining three are due to appear before Cairns Magistrates and Cairns Childrens Courts in the coming weeks.

Armed robbery, Mount Sheridan
A 15-year-old White rock boy has been arrested after being located at an Altona Street address yesterday morning, October 9.
It will be alleged the boy was part of a group who threatened a staff member with a wrench at the loading dock of a Mount Sheridan liquor store at 6am on October 9.
It will be further alleged the group then loaded multiple cartons of alcohol into a Toyota Landcruiser allegedly stolen from a Carron Close address the previous night.
The boy will also be alleged to have been involved in the break-in of a Trinity Beach address on October 7 where a Toyota Corolla was stolen.
It will be further alleged the boy had been involved in break-ins at other locations over the previous month.
He has been charged with five counts of enter dwelling, two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, and one count each of robbery armed in company, and receiving tainted property.
He has been denied bail and will appear before Cairns Childrens Court today, October 10.
Investigations into others involved in the armed robbery are ongoing.
