Armed robberies, Mooroobool and Manunda
A 22-year-old Manoora man was taken into custody yesterday morning after a short foot chase on Maytown Close.
Officers from the Cairns Property Crime Unit located a reportedly stolen Mercedes-Benz nearby, just after 8am, when the man was allegedly seen to run from the vehicle.
It will also be alleged the man had threatened an employee with a knife and stole items from a Swallow Street business on September 8.
It will be further alleged the man threatened an employee with a knife and stole items from a Pease Street business on September 29.
The man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery in company, and one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle, stealing, and obstruct police.
He has been refused bail and will appear before Cairns Magistrates Court today, November 7.
Investigations into others involved in the armed robberies are ongoing.

Vehicle charges, Cairns area
A 16-year-old Manunda boy has been charged yesterday, in relation to several allegedly stolen vehicles across the last few months.
It will be alleged the boy had been involved with vehicles reportedly stolen from Edge Hill, Bungalow and Manunda.
It will be further alleged the boy had attempted to break into a Warner Street home in Manunda on August 16.
The boy has been charged with three counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle and one of attempted enter dwelling.
He is due to appear before Cairns Childrens Court on November 13.

Break and enter, Manunda
A 17-year -old Manunda boy has been arrested after being located by officers on Leftwich Street, White Rock yesterday afternoon, November 6.
It will be alleged the boy had been involved in the break-in of a Hollett Close home on October 31, stealing bank cards and personal items.
The boy was also allegedly riding an electric scooter suspected of being stolen when stopped by officers.
The boy has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling, receiving tainted property, unlawful possession of suspected stolen property, and fail to appear in accordance with undertaking.
He has been denied bail and will appear before Cairns Childrens Court today, November 7
