Robbery charge, Parramatta Park: Detectives charged a 16-year-old Bentley Park girl yesterday afternoon following investigations into the alleged robbery of a 21-year-old woman on Draper Street on Tuesday night.
It will be alleged that she approached and threatened the woman at about 10.30pm before punching her to the head and stealing a sum of money.
She was charged with one count of robbery with violence and will be dealt with under the provisions of The Youth Justice Act 1992.
Boy charged over property offences, Cairns: A 16-year-old Woree boy was charged yesterday following investigations into a number of property offences committed in the Cairns area over recent weeks.
The offences included the alleged theft of a motor vehicle from a Parramatta Park residence and theft of fuel from a Bungalow service station in mid March, as well as a break and enter offence and theft of computer equipment from a Manunda TAFE college.
He was charged with a total of seven offences including breaking and entering premises, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, wilful damage, stealing and unlicenced driving.
The youth will be dealt with under the provisions of The Youth Justice Act 1992.
Burglary incident, Smithfield: Police are investigating the unlawful entry of a Gavin Street residence that occurred on Tuesday.
A male resident was at home recuperating from an injury and was resting on a bed when an opportunistic offender gained entry to the residence via a closed but unlocked door.
A computer tablet and associated equipment were stolen during the incident, which occurred in daylight hours sometime between 10:00am and midday.
