Detectives are continuing to investigate the burglary and assault of an 81-year-old woman in her Chataway Street home around 10.50pm on Friday, September 12.
A man gained entry to the home and approached the woman in her bedroom and made demands for her handbag.
The woman handed over her handbag, and the male assaulted the woman before fleeing the residence.
The 81-year-old woman was not physically injured.
The man is described as being aged in his 30s or older, of Aboriginal appearance, and at the time of the incident he was wearing shorts but no shirt.
Police are searching for a brown leather handbag and a pink coloured wallet, and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
