Police from the Tactical Crime Squad got a bit more than they bargained for during the search of a Severin Street residence yesterday afternoon at Parramatta Park. Police were searching the home in relation to another matter when they were informed by the owner that there were two pythons roaming free inside the house.

Not really sure what to expect, the officer’s cautiously searched the home and allegedly recovered a two metre carpet python on a window sill and a smaller spotted python. The snakes were carefully captured and handed-over to the Department of Environment and Heritage protection.
