Enter and commit indictable offence, Gordonvale: Police are investigating an incident at a Gordonvale bottle shop around 7:30pm last night.
Two men wearing black ski masks entered the Riverstone Road business and demanded money from a store employee.
The employee fled the store followed by the males who again demanded money. The pair fled after the employee threw a milk crate at them. They were last seen running west along Moller Street. Police believe that one of the males stole alcohol.
Both males are described as being:
- 176cm tall (approx.)
- slim build
wearing:
- long dark clothing
- black shoes
Theft of vending machine, Parramatta Park: Police are investigating the theft of a cigarette vending machine from a Bunda Street business yesterday morning.
Thieves forced entry to the premises at around 6:50am before loading the vending machine which contained cash and cigarettes onto a blue utility.
Police believe that two males were involved, one man is described as being:
- Aboriginal appearance
- 180cm tall
- cropped hair
Caravan security reminder: Police are reminding those living or holidaying in caravans or camper vans to lock up following three reported break and enters in the western suburbs of Cairns overnight.
Keys, computers, cash, mobile phones and wallets were stolen from holiday parks in Manoora and Manunda after thieves gained entry to two unlocked camper vans and an unlocked caravan.
Police stress the importance of recording property serial numbers and mobile phone IMEI numbers and to ensure that that camper vans and caravans are locked and valuables are kept out of sight.
