Officers from the Manoora Police Beat and Police Liaison Officers from the Cross Cultural Liaison Unit (CCLU) showed their passion for enhancing community spirit at the Youth Culture, Health and Wellbeing Fesitval yesterday.
Organised by the Indigenous Leaders of Tomorrow Program and Wuchopperen Health Service the event was held at Wuchopperen Moody Street facility in Mooroobool. The festival was a youth focused initiative which aimed to highlighting the positive effects of maintaining identity on the wellbeing of young people.
The free event was open to all and provided a range of youth activities, cultural performance, face painting, a petting zoo and a range of youth health services information.
The police and police liaison officers were a big hit with festival goers, especially when they tried to look brave when posing for photos holding reptiles. Acting Senior Constable Nat Fowler stole the show when her fine dancing skills were put on display in a version of the “bus stop”, make sure you don’t miss seeing that video!
