Traffic crash, Mount Sheridan: Edmonton police are currently investigating a four vehicle traffic crash that occurred on the Bruce Highway, Mount Sheridan yesterday. It will be alleged at about 10.15am the driver of a utility suffered from a medical condition and collided with three other vehicles before overturning near a deep culvert in the centre of the highway.

It will be alleged all vehicles were forced off the highway however all escaped serious injury. A 28-year-old Bayview Heights man who was driving the utility was trapped briefly before he was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An 86-year-old Edmonton man who was the passenger in one of the other vehicles was taken to the Cairns hospital for observation.

Extensive damage was sustained to two vehicles in the crash and they were towed. Investigations are continuing. QP1400107391 refers

Single vehicle traffic crash, Gordonvale: Police are investigating a single vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway Gordonvale at about 1am this morning.

Investigations indicate a gold coloured dual cab ute left the highway and entered a grassed area to the side of the highway in an area between Riverstone and Draper roads.

It is believed that the vehicle was being driven erratically and doing ‘donuts’ on wet grass before losing control and crashing in to a ditch alongside the highway.
