Heavy vehicle traffic crash, Mossman: Police are continuing investigations into a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred on the Mossman-Daintree Road at Rocky Point yesterday morning.
The incident occurred at around 8am when a truck left the road and overturned about 10kms north of Mossman.
The driver, a 32-year-old TrinityBeach man, was not injured as a result of the incident.
Man charged over assault, Cairns: Detectives have charged a 34-year-old Manunda man following investigations into the alleged assault of a 48-year-old man in the CBD on June 11.
The victim sustained facial injuries as a result of the incident.
It is believed the alleged offender and victim were known to each other.
The man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on August 5.
