The 3M Pride Youth Crew continues forward in leaps and bounds as they prepare for their big performance at Munro Martin Park on July 12.
Coordinated by PCYC’s Participated Lead Champion and Indigenous Programs Unit, the crew is designed to encourage youths from the 3M suburbs of Mooroobool, Manunda and Manoora to take pride in themselves and their community.
Senior Indigenous Community and Recreation Coordinator Marc Harbrow said that the group are progressing will in their Cultural and Contemporary rehearsals led by Rita Pryce.
“A massive highlight for the group was a visit from members of the International Royal Ballet and QLD Performing Arts” said Marc Harbrow.
“The crew embraced the visit where they were given instruction with their key movements.
“At PCYC we continue to provide great opportunities to the youth of West Cairns and consistently try to challenge their comfort zones and raise their confidence levels. The PCYC would like to sincerely thank QLD Performing Arts for challenging our young talented group and Reggie Jackson for his continued support.”
