Assault charges, Mossman
Police have charged a 54-year-old Wonga Beach man following investigations into an alleged assault at Mossman on June 29.
It will be alleged around 4:30pm on June 29, an altercation occurred outside a Front Street business where a 43-year-old Mossman man was punched multiple times by another man who fled the scene.
A witness came to the aid of the 43-year-old man who sustained facial and arm injuries requiring medical treatment.
Police located and arrested a 54-year-old man yesterday, September 12, and charged him with one count of grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear in the Mossman Magistrates Court on September 27.

Child Exploitation Material, Drug and Explosives charges, Yorkeys Knob
Police have charged a 42-year-old Yorkeys Knob man following an investigation and the execution of a search warrant in Yorkeys knob yesterday, September 12.
It will be alleged detectives from the Cairns Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU) located and seized electronic devices containing child exploitation material (CEM), drug paraphernalia and ammunition during the search at the address.
A 42-year-old man was arrested and charged with one count each of possessing child exploitation material, possess utensils and possess explosives (ammunition).
He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on September 28.

Drug charges, Manunda
Police have charged a 29-year-old Edmonton man following alleged drug offences in Manunda yesterday, September 12.
It will be alleged around 8am, officers from Cairns Tactical Crime Squad (TCS) were conducting inquiries at a Anderson Street address when they stopped to speak with a 29-year-old man.
Police conducted a pat-down search of the man and his belongings where it will be alleged, officers located a quantity of dangerous drugs, alleged to be methylamphetamine.
The man was charged with one count of possessing dangerous drugs. He is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on October 10.
