
Multiple property charges, Greater Cairns | Officers from the Cairns Property Crime Squad charged two boys and two men overnight, with a total of 16 property offences.
Two 12-year-old boys from Gordonvale and Westcourt were charged yesterday with one count each of break and enter and fraud.
Police allege the pair broke into Cairns North business between October 4th and 5th before stealing a credit card and later purchased goods at a local business.
Both are scheduled to appear in the Cairns Childrens Court today.
A 37-year-old Mooroobool man was yesterday charged with eight counts of stealing.
Police will allege all offences were linked to the theft of alcohol from liquor stores across Cairns over the past two months.
He is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court next month.
A 32-year-old Mareeba man was yesterday charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and three counts of stealing.
Police will allege the man stole a vehicle from a Bungalow property in August and later located in a damaged state on the Mulligan Highway in Mareeba on September 11.
It will be further alleged the man stole a laptop bag at a store in Cairns in September before travelling to Bowen and stealing alcohol and toiletries at other businesses.
The man is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on November 21.
