Vehicle charges, Edmonton

Four teenage girls have arrested following a incident between Cairns and Edmonton on Friday morning.

It will be alleged the girls, three aged 15-years-old and one aged 16-years-old, had been involved with a Toyota Rav4 stolen from a Sheridan Street address on January 9.

The vehicle will be alleged to have been driven erratically across Cairns on Friday morning, January 10.

One of the girls was arrested after exiting the vehicle in Winkworth Street just after 9:30am, with the other three being taken into custody nearby where the vehicle was dumped in Badilla Street, Edmonton a short time later.

Two of the girls have been charged with one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle.

One of the girls was charged with one count each of dangerous operation of vehicle, unlawful use of motor vehicle, and unsupervised learner.

These three girls are due to appear before Cairns Childrens Court on January 15.

One of the 15-year-old girls will be alleged to have been involved with previous vehicle and theft incidents dating back to October last year.

She has been charged with three counts of stealing, two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, and one count each of dangerous operation of vehicle, and possess drug utensils.

She has been remanded in custody to reappear before Cairns Childrens Court on January 15

Multiple charges, Greater Cairns Area

Four boys, two aged 14-years-old, one aged 16-years-old, and one aged 17-years-old, have been charged over the weekend.

The boys will be alleged to have been involved in multiple separate incidents at multiple locations dating from May of last year to Saturday evening, January 11.

The boys have been charged with a total of 31 charges, including eight counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, five counts of enter dwelling, and seven counts of stealing amongst the charges.

The boys are all due to appear before Cairns Childrens Court on January 15.

Break and enter, Trinity Beach

A 17-year-old Earlville boy has been charged after being located at a Thomas Street address Saturday afternoon, January 11.

It will be alleged the boy had broken into a Moore Street unit in the early hours of Friday morning, January 10, allegedly stealing wallets containing bank cards, a mobile phone, and car keys.

It will be further alleged the boy used the bank cards to later pay for cab charges and make purchases at several businesses.

It will also be alleged the boy broke into another Moore Street unit on January 9, stealing car keys whilst inside.

He has been charged with two counts of enter dwelling and commit, and one count each of enter premises, and fraud.

He is due to appear before Cairns Childrens Court on January 15.

Break and enter, Mount Sheridan

A 19-year-old Woree man has been arrested after a warrant was executed at a Sandown Close address on Saturday afternoon, January 11.

It will be alleged the man had been involved in the attempted break-ins of 4 separate Mount Sheridan addresses on December 17.

It will be further alleged he had been involved with a vehicle stolen from Mooroobool on December 14.

He has been charged with four counts of attempted enter dwelling, and one of unlawful use of motor vehicle.

He has been denied bail and will appear before Cairns Magistrates Court today, January 13.
