Anyone who’s ever considered a policing career is encouraged to come along and find out about the requirements and the selection process at our next Cairns Police Careers Information Seminar at the Cairns PCYC.
Cairns Recruiting officer Senior Constable Heidi Marek will give you an accurate account of life as a police officer as she and some of our first year constables explain the pre-application requirements, the recruiting process and life at the academy.
You will get a warts and all account of what it’s actually like in your first year and some recounts of personal experiences, which we like to call ‘war stories’ thrown in.
To be eligible to apply for the Queensland Police Service (QPS) as a police recruit, applicants must meet pre-application requirements which consist of Health, Integrity/Conduct, Residency, Entrance Examination, and Driver Licence.
